  • Rigaletto

    Rigaletto

Even though all of the horses sold and showing from Affluent Farms have become “stars”, Rigaletto (aka Highlander) will always remain the “first star”. He won the 2003 Lieutenant Governor General Cup class at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair under Sue Fish (Roy and Sue Fish of Twinholm Stable trained him) just nine years after Affluent Farms began raising and selling Canadian Sport Horses. This photo is of “Riggs” being shown by his owner Lisa Swant Torkos. He looks so much like his R.C.M.P. dam, Bonny rather than Reipo, the Swedish Warmblood that was his sire. Still going strong, he will be 20 this year, in 2020.

  • Darlington

    Darlington

Darlington (aka Star Struck) is a registered C.S.H.A. gelding that was sired by Diamant and out of the Affluent Farms mare, Milka (Mattgold). He is doing amateur owner hunter classes with his owner and excelling.

  • Dilemma

    Dilemma

    Diamant x Bonny

Affluent Farms showed Dilemma as a youngster in the C.S.H.A. shows at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and then in the cup classes when he was a three year old. Roy and Sue Fish trained him as a three year old and helped him qualify for the Royal, along with his full brother, Dash. Dilemma and Dash were in the top ten in both cup classes. Dilemma went on to Liz Steacie for some dressage training and was then sold to a young lady in Quebec and gelded.

  • Magna

    Magna

Magna was sired by Loki’s Fire (Thoroughbred) x Magnitude (C.S.H.A.)

Magna is now called Donovan by his owner, Rachel Baresich. These two achieved a Reserve Championship at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave in September, 2019 in the adult low hunter division (2’9”). Rachel has only had Donovan for a couple of years so is achieving great things in a very short time but, like all horses from Affluent Farms, he has a great temperament along with his athleticism. These two also have a wonderful coach, Debbie McFadden.

  • Zedaumier

    Zedaumier

Affluent Farms welcomed “Zed” (by Zulu out of our C.S.H.A. mare, Milka) into the world on July 12th, 2020. He is an extremely personable little guy who isn’t afraid of anything! He is black.

  • Whata Ending

    Whata Ending

I have loved Paint horses ever since I owned a beautiful gelding named Sonny (sired by Bear’s Bonanza) that was a half brother to this little mare. “Finny” as she is known, A.P.H.A. registered foundation tri-colour Tob-Overo mare, has produced some beautiful colored and solid breeding stock Paint horses for our farm, the one daughter of which we kept, Lilleoett, mentioned in this website.

  • Milka

    Milka

This lovely 16 hh mare has produced a couple of foals, but the one that is doing extremely well at present is Darlington (by Diamant, aka Star Struck) in the hunter division. Milka is a more refined mare with a beautiful temperament. She passes along her body type and easy going movement and personality to all her foals. The one that is for sale at present is her 2018 colt, Don’t Mind Me (name pending C.S.H.A. registration).

  • Magnitude

    Magnitude

Since “Maggie” looks like the “old style Hanoverian”, she was not promoted in the show ring nor was she bred much. Her one foal, a gelding named Magna (aka Donovan) was born in 2009. He is owned by Rachel Baresich and enjoys competing in dressage and hunter/jumper classes on the Trillium Circuit. He has the refinement of the Thoroughbred but gets his bone and wonderful temperament from his dam.
